Another ink sketch using the same technique. I like this one a lot!

DO "THE JERK"!!!

The students in my art classes love this dance! It's like a backwards "Running Man"!! I can't do it though!! This is an ink experimentation in which I'm practicing to capture more "truth" and energy in my art. You know how you come up with a concept, create the sketch, and the final piece lacks the energy the sketch had.......I decided to limit my inking tools to a minimum to work a little bit faster and to cut back on the thick, bold containing line on the outside of my drawings. I still gotta get used to it mentally and visually, but, it seems to be coming along fine!

I was cleaning up my apartment going through some artwork and found these warm-up ink sketches that I did last summer! I have so much art that I sometimes forget that I did stuff! Crazy huh?!!

MY FIRST SOLO ART SHOW: IT'S GOING DOWN!!! FRI NOV. 20TH, 2009!!!!!

Here are some pics from the opening of my first solo art show!! Man, I really bust my ass for this one and it turned out really great!!! I would like to thank everyone that came out to support me and a BIG shout out to my girl Ebony for helping me hang the show and to moms and pops for providing the wine and desserts!!! A big shout out to Peter and his family for hosting my show at Insomkneeacks!!!! I had about 22 or 23 pieces in all!! More pics to come later!!!

This will probably be the last one of these that I'll do for a while! So many ideas and images going straight bananas in my head......so little time to get them all out! I'm starting to get that itch for drawing some comics again! After I finish my exhibition in November, it might be a good opportunity to start a new mini comic!! My next post may be that certain lil' idea!! We'll see though..........

HANG TEN BABY!!!!

What's up peeps!!! It's been a while!!! I'm just busting my butt cranking out art for my solo show next month on the 20th!! Here is a lil' something that has been finished for a while now that I finally got a chance to post. I'm starting to realize that postin' is WORK!!!! Gotta get back to painting, holla!!!!
