The Woodshop teacher at my school gave me a ton of scrap wood from his class and this was one of the more uniquely shaped pieces in the bunch. The kids in my class said it looks like a giant sword from final fantasy. I told them that I had a vision for it and I immediately primed it with water based KILZ and added some textures with the gesso after wards. This is the result! Acrylic and Oil Marker on an 8x42 wood panel.
A piece I did this week to get back in the groove of painting. Might use this one in an artshow coming up in July with a metal and lace theme. I'll deal with the metal.....lol!!! 24x18 Acrylic, Goauche on canvas.

I did this painting in 2009 for my solo art show and it's been hanging on my wall since. I don't know how I managed to not take pictures of it. It's one of those paintings that I'll probably keep because I was working with a different technique, like my skateboard and the Ridin' piece. Mixed media on 11x43 wood panel.
