PAINTINGS FOR MY LIL' BRO'S CRIB!!!

A couple of months ago I was helping my lil' bro clean his new apartment and I found two pieces of wood lying around. I snatched them up and made the mistake of telling him that I was gonna bomb some bad ass art on 'em. He told me that anything that I find up in his new place has to come back to him!!! What kinda s--t is that?!!!! Lmao!!! So I did the deed and gave them to him. They look really nice on his wall!! Hope you are happy Jack!!

PAINTING!!!

What's up peeps!! I know it's been a while since I have posted, but I have been extremely busy with work and painting. This is one that I did for one of my co-workers and it's pretty much the direction that I have been going with my art as of late. I really enjoy the freedom of painting and I have found a process that works well for me. I'm still attracted to bold line work...I can't seem to escape it, so, I embrace it in my painting process. I'm gonna post some pics soon of the other paintings that I have done, so be on the lookout! I'm gonna try to get back into comics, but this is where I'm at now. This painting is called "Following Daddy's Lead". Hope you guys enjoy it!! Peace!!

DO "THE JERK"!!!

The students in my art classes love this dance! It's like a backwards "Running Man"!! I can't do it though!! This is an ink experimentation in which I'm practicing to capture more "truth" and energy in my art. You know how you come up with a concept, create the sketch, and the final piece lacks the energy the sketch had.......I decided to limit my inking tools to a minimum to work a little bit faster and to cut back on the thick, bold containing line on the outside of my drawings. I still gotta get used to it mentally and visually, but, it seems to be coming along fine!

I was cleaning up my apartment going through some artwork and found these warm-up ink sketches that I did last summer! I have so much art that I sometimes forget that I did stuff! Crazy huh?!!

Here are some pics from the opening of my first solo art show!! Man, I really bust my ass for this one and it turned out really great!!! I would like to thank everyone that came out to support me and a BIG shout out to my girl Ebony for helping me hang the show and to moms and pops for providing the wine and desserts!!! A big shout out to Peter and his family for hosting my show at Insomkneeacks!!!! I had about 22 or 23 pieces in all!! More pics to come later!!!
